Air Conditioning Systems

Many air conditioning systems can make your home cooler, but few can do the job as efficiently and quietly as a Rheem. In every way, in every detail, Rheem air conditioning is engineered to give you the best of home comfort for many years to come.

Rheem is the only manufacturer to install the innovating scroll compressor into its entire product line. It’s absolutely the smoothest, quietest, most efficient compressor ever created. Old fashioned reciprocating compressors use pistons and valves to compress and move gas. But scroll compressor technology eliminates the noisy, high wear and tear moving parts to deliver a more efficient, quiet operation. And by using 100% copper tubing, Rheem demonstrates that it cuts no corners in design.

Rheem air conditioners are built tough, to withstand just about anything nature, or your kids, dishes out.

Air Conditioners have a “SEER” or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating – the higher the number, the more efficient the system. Our energy efficient models start at a 10 SEER rating and climb to a super efficient 18 SEER.

Remember that SEER ratings are established in a laboratory, but the real conditions determine how your equipment will perform. Many things affect how cooling equipment meets anticipated performance level: Airflow – without proper airflow, the desired temperature change across the evaporator will not occur, therefore not cooling your home properly. Charge – improper refrigerant charge can greatly affect the performance of your air conditioner. Tight Ducts – Duct leakage can also greatly reduce the performance of your air conditioner. Make sure yours don’t leak. Size – equipment that is sized too big will hurt performance of the unit. If it is sized too small, the equipment will not satisfy your cooling needs. Contact your Rheem Team dealer to make sure your air conditioning unit is properly sized.
